I enjoyed the interview. Is it just me or does anyone else notice that the COC folks generally seem to be better informed on mormonism and have a deeper understanding of Biblical Christianity than their LDS counterparts………….

In my limited experience, YES. I’ve spoken with CoC members for a total of about two hours total, and they’ve been 1,000% more informed.

What is your basis for comparison? An ecumenical officer that has been at this for decades vs two Mormon missionaries in their earlier twenties?

And the LDS Mormons I met when I went to sacrament meetings. Where the LDS were judgmental, CofC were open. LDS spent their time teaching about how horrible the non-believers were. CofC spoke about love. Is my experience extremely limited? Yes. Is it a completely unbiased opinion? No. Am I okay with it? Absolutely.

If CoC had found me as a teen, rather than southern baptists, I might not have left the church.
