Episode 112: Show Update

The time has come for David Michael to say goodbye. Hopefully the show will live on, but sadly, it will have to continue without the original host.

I can’t thank all the Mymos enough for everything you’ve done to make the show what it has become.  You will always hold a special place in my heart.

Have a beer on me

Sad to see you go David. Thanks for the great work that you’ve done. You’ve definitely given me a different perspective on the BoM. Doubt I would have read it again after leaving the church. Glad I got to enjoy a beer with you in Salt Lake. Good luck with everything.

Sad news. Now what am I supposed to do with my Monday mornings at 1:00 am? Sleep?

Thank you for two great years! And you should still find an excuse to read D&C 129 sometime, if you’re ever wondering how to tell angels apart from devils…

David, wanted to drop by after hearing your announcement to say THANK YOU so much for this entertaining podcast. It’s become my go to recommendation when someone says they are interested in the BOM or for TBMs who make posts inviting others to read the BOM, I comment with a link to your wonderful podcast. It’s been fun, and now I wish you all the best going forward. I think most of us in your audience can appreciate the simple joy of setting aside all the Mormon silliness and spend that time however we like.

Again best of luck in the future and thank you for doing this great project.

David, I am really going to miss your readings. You have done what very few people (at least that I know) can do: read the Book of Mormon and be conscious enough to actually notice the silliness, bad logic, and other hilarious things. I have never felt “the spirit” so much in my life while listening to your heartfelt reactions. There were times when you literally had me in tears, especially when you were genuinely asking God if the book was true. I feel like your personality is just so much more moral than the book. Congratulations on finishing that damn book though. Thanks! I hope your promotion at McDonalds is worth leaving the best podcast ever!!!

Oh NO! I just started discovered the podcast last week, and alas, David is leaving. Lucky for me, I have 50 plus episodes left. (I binge listened through the end of Alma.)

David, Congrats on the promotion and good luck!

If the podcast continues (fingers crossed), I hope you will pop in as a special guest now and then.

I’m glad you gave us a heads up that you were leaving in the somewhat near future. And I’m glad the reason you’re leaving is a promotion! Congrats David, and thanks Bryce!!

David, your race is run, you’re all worded out and I applaud your tenacity. It’s not easy to recite such blather without going numb in the head.
Your Book of Mormon read was great and Bryce coming in was a welcome relief providing background and asides that no me-mo could divine.

I’m glad you got outta da business of mormondumb.
Your work will live on and contribute to the gestalt of post-mormon evolution creating a new generation of apatheist thinking.
Thank you for the, truly, Herculean endeavor. Yes, you can claim, “I have read the Book of Mormon.” You should order a CTR signet ring for the effort.
